Manchester rivals Mason Greenwood and Phil Foden united, says Aidy Boothroyd

England U21 head trainer Aidy Boothroyd says prior to revealing the Manchester United is sharing a room with bar rival Phil Foden on duty, he has been hugely impressed by Mason Greenwood.
Greenwood and also Manchester City midfielder Foden have been included for the very first time, with the United earning his initial call-up into the side of Boothroyd.
The 17-year-old has showcased in each of of United’s games this year, including an impressive ten-minute cameo against Southampton on Saturday.
“He’s a very, very gifted player,” Boothroyd stated. “He walks through the door and you instantly like him because he is such a humble, nice young bloke.
“He’s rooming with Phil funnily enough so that’s both Manchester lads getting together and acting for England and also residing together for a couple of months also.
“Mason’s a fantastic talent, we’ve just had one session but he seems very impressive and will surely increase the armoury we have got.”
Nineteen-year-old Foden has showcased 19 times from the Premier League for City since making his debut. Boothroyd says that his position is not one to be worried about, despite fighting for moments this season.
“Phil’s working together with the best gamers from the world and arguably the best trainer in the world so he is going to have a great deal of positives out of that,” he further added.
“He is not playing games but I believe City and Pep [Guardiola] understand exactly just what to do together greater than perhaps I’d since they see of him than I do.”
Considering that the summer’s disappointing Championship effort – that saw the group exit of Boothroyd the tournament in the group point – three members of the squad have been called up to the side.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka,” Mason Mount and James Maddison have been chosen by Gareth Southgate, also Boothroyd thinks there’s never been a better time to make the step up from the U21s.
“It’s excellent for me that although we had the disappointment of this summer, three celebrities have come from it. They’re all really good characters and I’m absolutely delighted for them,” he explained.

“There’s never been a better time to become an England player with a man who’s brave enough to perform them at Gareth.
“I believe they’re three very talented players and they make the most of themselves. They are currently working as hard as they could to be all that they may be.
“They got into the England team and they have to do this last bit of getting to the team and getting a few caps under their belt.”
The U21s kick-off their new qualifying campaign with a trip to Turkey before three days 28, they go home to play with Kosovo at Hull.
