Charlie Nicholas is back with his newest predictions before the Premier League’s return that weekend, such as Norwich vs Manchester City, Bournemouth vs Everton and Watford vs Arsenal…
Can Liverpool keep up their start? Will Man City keep up with the speed set by Jurgen Klopp’s negative? Will Arsenal guarantee a Premier League win of this year? Former Arsenal and Scotland striker Charlie Nicholas is back with his predictions for the week’s matches…
You don’t have any reason worry, apart from the harm to Aymeric Laporte perhaps and to check at Man City’s concerns.
Norwich are great going forward – Todd Cantwell has started great although Teemu Pukki is being talked about by everyone. The full-backs prefer to have large, however they won’t do that against City. The Norwich defenders will probably be rash against the side of Pep Guardiola. The fact that Grant Hanley cannot get from the Scotland side tells something to you.
Daniel Farke does not embrace – the expectation is that you are going to get beat. If you ask 90 per cent of Norwich fans right now if they would have a 4-1 hammering trying to start up the game, or whether they would rather lose 1-0 and not have a shot on target, I think they would go for the former.
It’s not an embarrassment but they will need to go by a positive aspect, which is how you examine yourself in it. Kevin de Bruyne was excellent as was Raheem Sterling over the break, which is why I’ll go for this scoreline.
CHARLIE PREDICTS: 2-6 (66/1 with Sky Bet)
We are taking a look at targets for both teams.
In reality, Bournemouth are powerful at home and I am still not convinced with Everton. Marco Silva is two results that are bad away from a crisis.
Everton begin cold although they have to win if we want to find an improvement, these soccer matches, but they’ve begun ok.
Josh King callum Wilson and Ryan Fraser will be fresh after the worldwide break, so I will go to get a Bournemouth win here.
CHARLIE PREDICTS: 2-1 (10/1 with Sky Bet)
Get off the mark and watford will appear to cause another mad. They prefer to become physical with Arsenal, therefore that they can approach it this way again. Together with Quique Sanchez Flores coming in it will increase the hosts. I liked him but he didn’t play overly aggressive. He played very technically.
Are the struggles at the back capable of competing with the aspect of Arsenal? The midfield and attack should be powerful enough – if Alexandre Lacazette is fit we will be shooting.
CHARLIE PREDICTS: 1-3 (12/1 with Sky Bet)
This is a return collection of fixtures. Manuel Pellegrini is a wise guy, and he likes to find a balance.
Mark Noble and jack Wilshere will probably soon be back . People are far too enthused about Declan Rice, with a lot of errors along with clumsiness there, since is your predictability together with West Ham. They do seem to have found a man with targets in Sebastian Haller, that presents a existence also.
Aston Villa have improved, but they want Jack Grealish to play 10-15 metres higher up the pitch if they’re currently playing in your home, I keep saying it. You want it from the opposition half rather than close or on the halfway line although He’s a pass grasp. The blend of John McGinn and him is difficult for anyone to control. I enjoy Wesley up front and I enjoy what Villa have at the moment.
CHARLIE PREDICTS: 2-1 (9/1 with Sky Bet)
I am reading that there are a number of injuries floating around. Steve Bruce’s last away game at Tottenham has been a stunning result. Newcastle will probably be better satisfied from home – they don’t know what their fans will be doing regarding possession.
In the minute Liverpool look as if they can wash the floor with the majority of teams, although I don’t know whether they will go or who’ll be appropriate for Liverpool. You can’t open up against them. Joelinton needs time and will not get any service. We will see how structured Newcastle can be at the back – they’ve been working hard defensively.
CHARLIE PREDICTS: 2-0 (11/2 with Sky Bet)
It’s one that I would love to see, a match. Leicester are currently seeing with one of the teams I believe they could grab. The fact is Leicester have begun the effort well, although I am looking in what they have and also what they do not have. This can be a sport where they sabotage Manchester United and could open up.
They’ll be content, if they play expansively and open then. Brendan Rodgers’ side are good with the ball and has a shape but can counter-attack. I don’t understand whether Anthony Martial will be match. The team of Gunnar Solskjaer will still be vulnerable although marcus Rashford will perform throughout the middle.
CHARLIE PREDICTS: 1-1 (6/1 with Sky Bet)
Sheffield United are committed and enthusiastic. Chris Wilder is a man of substance when it comes to his players do the task. He doesn’t take fools. He does not have any loyalty to the players that will not do the job. If you’re doing you are in the team, and if you are not fulfilling the duties he wants. It’s comparable to Ralph Hasenhuttl at Southampton, but ” I do not think that they have a lot of a threat if Nathan Redmond is not match on Saturday. It’s going to be close, too close to predict and they will be pinned by Sheffield Utd back although there are qualities in both teams.
CHARLIE PREDICTS: 2-2 (14/1 with Sky Bet)
I must admitthis is the toughest Super 6 of the year – to be ensured a winner is very generous, as these are tough calls.
Leandro Trossard looks decent up-front for Brighton – he’s eager to get in the box and then make things happen. Brighton are finding a means to get around playing Glenn Murray every game. They need to control the more. Ashley Barnes is a few for the majority of teams and Burnley have gone back to basics, which has functioned. Their defence is fine and solid and their midfield is organised, although the Burnley strikers work hard and receive their rewards. There’s a strategy for this. This is just another draw for me.
CHARLIE PREDICTS: 1-1 (5/1 with Sky Bet)
There are plenty of folks this weekend which is going to be editing their forecasts. They will be assessing teams and seeing who could be the potential match-winner and who is fit. It’ll be like that due to the jackpot that is guaranteed. Jeff must pay out again!
Wolves do well against the big groups. Tammy Abraham continues to be in shape and Mason Mount has been good. Chelsea remain vulnerable at the back and will be threatened Raul Jimenez and by Diogo Jota . I visit Wolves beating Chelsea that weekend, and now Wolves will be the team, as many people that are talking about Leicester, that could definitely override the fashion that is top-six.
CHARLIE PREDICTS: 2-1 (12/1 with Sky Bet)
Tottenham are finding it difficult to be solid defensively – 13 league games were lost by them this past year. Crystal Palace played nicely because of it and won at Old Trafford. Gary Cahill has enhanced them and you can see them, since these things start to develop. Tottenham came from behind in the home to Aston Villa, they drove it from Arsenalthey got lucky against Man City therefore it is not looking good at the moment and they got beat by Newcastle. It will be another day for their fans. It’ll be a stifled counter-attack functionality from Palace – it will be an awkward day but they’ll get there at the end.
CHARLIE PREDICTS: 2-1 (15/2 with Sky Bet)
