BREAKING: STIPE MIOCIC OUT OF UFC FIGHT NIGHT 76 CO-MAIN EVENT AGAINST BEN ROTHWELL

MMAOddsBreaker.com can now officially confirm UFC Heavyweight Stipe Miocic has been forced out of his forthcoming UFC Fight Night 76 bout against Ben Rothwell because of an unspecified training accident. Both top 10 fighters were scheduled to throw in the co-main event of following Saturday’s (October 24, 2015) event in Dublin, Ireland, which is headlined by the lightweight conflict involving Joseph Duffy and Dustin Poirier and will be streamed live on UFC Fight Pass. Miocic (#3 rated HW) was coming off the most impressive performance of his career, a fifth round TKO stoppage of former title challenger Mark Hunt where he set a UFC heavyweight record for most strikes landed in a single struggle. He’s won four of the last five fights with his only loss being a decision against former winner Junior dos Santos. Rothwell (#7 ranked HW) is currently riding a three-fight win series which included surprising first round upset stoppage victories over both Matt Mitrione and Alistair Overeem. There has been no word yet as to whether or not UFC matchmakers will be able to get a last minute replacement or if Rothwell will probably be forced off the battle card.
