Wales coach Rob Howley has been sent home from their Rugby World Cup camp amid allegations of gambling offences, Sky Sports News understands.
It is understood Howley placed bets on union matches and has been suspended by all things concerning rugby and will likely be banned from the championship pending a hearing, that.
Howley leaves the Wales squad six days.
Sky Sports News understands that Howley is going to be substituted by former fly-half Stephen Jones, who was set to carry the job in 2020 of Howley over.
Officials, coaches and players at all levels in the sport are prohibited from gambling on any rugby fixtures.
