Steelers vs. Titans NFL Pick – Preseason Week 3

In the Only game on Sunday, the Pittsburgh Steelers and Tennessee Titans meet in Nashville at Nissan Stadium.

The Steelers head into Week 3 of the preseason with a perfect resume of 2-0. They have wins over Chiefs and the Buccaneers. Following a quarterback battle, the unit was the most remarkable for the Steelers last week. They held that a Kansas City offense in check for just seven points at a 17-7. Sure, the Patrick Mahomes played, but it isn’t like Chad Henne is completely dreadful. He is a veteran that knows his way about an NFL offense.
Offensively, I am going to need to admit it was not a day for anybody. Josh Dobbs threw an interception in the red zone that looked like a rookie error. That’s a mark against him in his struggle against Mason Rudolph. Dobbs was getting third-team reps a week behind Rudolph. Rudolph didn’t do anything too exciting, but the ball was protected by him passed for 77 yards on passing.
Rudolph has more upside down than Dobbs. That is still a quarterback competition, however I believe this is Rudolph’s job. Underneath Dobbs and Rudolph, Devlin Hodges has looked impressive. He is making him difficult about the Steelers to reduce. At a minimum, Hodges will find his way on the practice squad.
The Steelers went against the Chiefs because their starting QB in Week 2 with Rudolph. Ben Roethlisberger is expected to get the start in this one. It’ll be his first game action after sitting out 2 and Week 1 of the preseason. Dobbs is very likely to get a look since Rudolph obtained first-team repetitions last week. Dobbs is going to need to impress this chance. The task and another dumb mistake may be Rudolph’s.
There are zero doubts concerning the quarterback turning in Tennessee. It is one of those clearer choices to be made from the NFL. Whereas Ryan Tannheill follows at the backup position marcus Mariota is the QB. AAF alumni and former Toledo Rocket, Logan Woodside, is back and is hoping to grab onto a roster or practice group. Mariota will start 1 barring an injury. Knock on wood. Head below to our complimentary Steelers vs. Titans pick.

As far as Week 1 is worried, Mariota is becoming the nod above Tannehill. Mariota and how Tannehill perform is irrelevant. It’s definitely worth mentioning that Tannehill will be breathing down Mariota’s throat when he struggles. Not merely did the Titans but it’s a means to push Mariota. He didn’t perform how past season was wished by the Titans.
Mariota wasn’t terrible, but he’s at a stage in his career where he actually has to lift everyone up. Make them players that are much better than they are. Mariota passed for 11 touchdowns and 8 interceptions with 357 yards. He should be over his knee harm from now, so that there are not likely to be any excuses in 2019.
With respect to this preseason game, the Titans are essentially going to have two starting quarterbacks . Tannehill is not the best signal caller you will discover in the group, but he’s got lots of expertise as a starting QB in Miami.
He’s acted as a starter for more of his career than a backup option. When he receives the call in this contest tannehill should be able to move the ball from backups. Then that isn’t likely to create his job being nervous regarded by Mariota if he doesn’t. Tannehill is planning to take within this one from the second-half or close to the conclusion of the first-half. By then, the Steelers are not going to be needing their defenders out there.
On the Steelers’ side, then they will have Roethlisberger out there for close to a half, and then a quarterback battle between Dobbs and Rudolph. There is a fantastic chance that at least two of these are going to have the ability to put some forces together.
Along with Tannehill and Mariota, that’s four quarterbacks playing in this competition tonight. And when Hodges gets mop-up responsibility for the Steelers, he’s been playing in the preseason. With a posted total of 40, there seems to be some solid value over the OVER in this edition of Sunday Night Football in Nashville.
