Sheffield Wednesday in talks with Danny Cowley over managerial role

Sheffield Wednesday are in talks with Lincoln director Danny Cowley about the vacant position at Hillsborough, Sky Sports understands.
The Owls are searching for a new manager after Steve Bruce quit to join Newcastle in mid-july, with Lee Bullen in temporary cost.
However, Sheffield Wednesday have lost three of their last four league games and are 11th in the Sky Bet Championship table entering this week break.
It is considered any deal for Cowley will incorporate his brother and helper, Nicky, which makes the switch into South Yorkshire.
Lincoln have told Sky Sports News the brothers will take control of Tuesday night’s Trophy match against Doncaster.
In which they now sit second in the table Ipswich the duo have obtained the club from the National League.
Throughout their period at Sincil Bank, the club were also the first non-league side to achieve the FA Cup quarter-finals for 103 years using Lincoln also winning the Checkatrade Trophy (now Trophy) at 2017-18.
