Following his returned by an elongated break, kent featured for Liverpool however found himself in limbo.
He admitted it was a tricky time before the move was stopped by Rangers.
“It was quite demanding,” he said. “I had to stay emotionally strong, when you are educated you can do something and then you are lied to and it does not happen, that’s rather hard to take.
“I simply had to keep myself fit and instruct on my own and also make sure I keep my fitness levels up and that I had been waiting for a moment like this to arrive.
“There’s no bitter flavor, the thing that I wanted from the start happened at the end so that I am just pleased with that.
“I’d have liked to have been here from the start, it is quite hard watching it on the TV wanting I had been a part of a few of the games although I’m delighted to be back and that I can not wait to begin.
“There were probably some small concerns along the way once I thought this might not happen and I may need to plan for some thing else, but I always had a sense that it might visit the previous day of the window and that’s what happened.”
Kent came through the academy of Liverpool and also had loan spells at Coventry City, Barnsley, Freiburg along with Bristol Rovers but he states Rangers is your first club.
“I’m in a privileged position in life to be playing soccer, it’s every child’s fantasy,” Kent explained. “And I think that it’s naive not to appreciate that position in life. I am fortunate to be in this position in life.
“For once in my entire life to be feeling in your home someplace, to be actually enjoying my football, I want that feeling for the rest of my profession. When I came here, I felt for the first time.
“The manager believes in me along with the coaching staff. He made the very best out of me and mick Beale needed me as a kid in Liverpool and I truly begun to flourish as a young kid coming through at Liverpool, and the fans get the most out of you.
“So only every thing as a collective at this club I believe gets the very best out of me and my football.”
