Richard Riakporhe to battle Jack Massey for vacant British cruiserweight title

Because he takes yet another step towards a large showdown with Lawrence Okolie, richard Riakporhe has confirmed his name fight.
The unbeaten cruiserweight contender will aim the name which was vacated by Okolie, using venue and a date to be declared due to his battle with Massey.
Riakporhe exhibited his grit claiming his 10th win by split decision in The O2, also wishes to increase his standing as one of the fighters in a contested division.
“I’m very happy, this can be like a fantasy come true,” Riakporhe told Sky Sports. “It is becoming surreal now. I think I deserve it and I feel it’s my moment, the momentum is in my corner, and I’m just prepared to carry on progressing, so that I find a world title and could progress through to the world stage.
“After I found out the boxing board had ordered the battle for the British name I just busted into a dancing straightaway. I was so ecstatic, and I’m just buzzing. I’m all set to go in there and do what I do best.
“It’d mean the world for me personally. You see that name, it is such a title and I feel as a great deal of people do not honor this name enough to be honest. I need to be one to symbolize British boxing using that name as a legitimate winner. I want my name to go down in history, with each of of the champions. That could be excellent.”
Massey, who is also yet to endure a defeat that was professional, has been denied a struggle with Okolie before this year but Riakporhe considers the fit-again 26-year-old will get first-hand experience of power and his strength.
“He is a great opponent,” explained Riakporhe. “He also beat Chris Billam-Smith I heard in the amateurs. I think it was from the ABA finals, so listen, he is not a pushover. I reckon he is certainly going to come to struggle, although A great deal of people have written off him already. He’s got my respect.
“I feel like there’s a lot of things I done wrong in my final fight that I’m likely to rectify within this fight and show folks that I am potentially a force to be reckoned with, and it’s only a matter of time before I reach the top.
“I have not looked at Massey’s album yet, but there isn’t any fighter like myself. That is one thing that a lot of these fighters, so they understand that when I put in the ring together. After we hit the ring and goes, that’s when he’s going to understand why there’s hype around Riakporhe.”
Okolie will take another step-up in course when he struggles Yves Ngabu to the European title on a bumper bill at The O2 on October 26, live on Sky Sports Box Office, together with Riakpohe trusting his rival emerges victorious to stay on track to an explosive future fight.
“Me, I will always think that I am the very best cruiserweight in this country,” he explained. “I will really put the money where my mouth is and then jump into the ring and then examine myself.
“That is 1 thing about me personally, I don’t have no Olympic background, none of all that glamorous things. I graduated and jumped in the ring and I have gone this far. If I needed these systems to come up with things and my ability imagine. I’d have gone than Okolie .
“Props to himhe’s done a great job and I’m on the road today. It’s only a matter of time before we meet. It may be next year, it may be crazy. Excellent luck to him in his competition. I think he will find the win, likely a late stoppage.”
