Im really unhappy to announce that I will not be able to play in Shanghai this season. Its the second year in a row and also in China I have great supporters, Nadal said in a statement.
However, as you probably know, I had an inflammation in my left wrist during the Laver Cup and that I have not had the opportunity to recover and practice to be ready. I am hoping to return in Shanghai for the 2020 tournament
