New Orleans Saints vs Los Angeles Rams: Week 2 NFL Odds & Free Picks

Believe it or not, there are three matchups in Week two of the NFL season featuring 1-0 teams. With all due regard to Vikings-Packers and Chiefs-Raiders, no wonder the marquee game is a rematch of last year’s NFC Championship Game including the New Orleans Saints and Los Angeles Rams, this time played in L.A.
Because the NFL can have changed forever Saints fans/backers will never forget This NFC title tilt. With the game tied the Saints had third-and-10 at the Rams 13 with 1:48 left in legislation. Drew Brees tried a pass near the sideline. With a helmet-to-helmet hit, Rams cornerback Nickell Robey-Coleman dedicated a pass interference penalty without question well before the ball came. It was missed by the officers. Had this been called as it should have, the Saints may run the clock down to the last seconds and have first-and-goal and attempt a field goal that is winning .
The Saints had to kickstart a field goal remaining plus it abandoned the lots of time to drive down the field and then tie it onto a field goal from Greg Zeuerlein. Zeuerlein won it to a monster kick, so kudos.
That pass interference non-call was so ominous that PI can be now challenged by tutors , even if it is not called. It’s a trial for the time being.
Quite possible these teams match again this January with all the Saints as +350 favorites to win the summit at Bovada and the Rams moment at +500.
These teams had wins that are close but. Los Angeles was a favorite that is short at Carolina and prevailed 30-27 at a game that didn’t really feel that near. The Panthers were down by 13 points a couple of times and never led. They scored with 1:58 left never got the ball .
Because Todd Gurley wasn’t healthy one reason that the Rams did not win the Super Bowl was. He seemed nice vs. the Panthers with 14 carries for 97 yards. It’s clear the as Malcolm Brown had 11 carries for 53 yards and two 25, Sean McVay wants to restrict his workload. Jared Goff was not all that good at completing 23 of 39 for 186 yards with a TD and an option, however, the Rams were running. Goff, incidentally, is 2-2 vs. the Saints in their own career. He has thrown four interceptions and nine touchdown passes in people with a QBR of 60.
Injury-wise, Rams safety Eric Weddle is in the concussion protocol. He left Carolina taking a scary blow to the head out of Christian McCaffrey’s knee. Weddle’s head was a bloody mess. Too early to tell if Weddle can play this one.
The Saints were 30-28 winners Monday night as touchdown favorites over Houston in very possibly the most entertaining match. It had been the very first time in Monday Night Football over once changed in the final minute of the quarter.
New Orleans was down 14-3 at the half, but Brees had a massive second half and the match looked over when Lutz struck a 47-yard field goal with 50 seconds left for a 27-21 lead. It took the Deshaun Watson every one of two plays for a 28-27 lead of Houston, but the Texans abandoned too much time to Brees. He even got the Saints to the Houston 41 and then Lutz struck a for the success. Lutz has been named the NFC’s Special Teams Player of the Week.
Brees finished 32-for-43 for yards and 2 scores, Michael Thomas had 10 catches for 123, and Alvin Kamara 169 yards from scrimmage. It was Brees’ profession game-winning push in the fourth quarter/overtime, the second-most by any sin since the 1970 merger. This had been New Orleans’ initial Week 1 win since 2013.
In Week 9 of last year, Brees threw for yards and four scores. He is 2-2 vs. Goff in his career with 11 TDs and one pick good to get a QBR of 76. Kamara had three touchdowns that Thomas 12 and Morning 9 match catches for 211 yards and a score.
Injury shrewd, Saints defensive linemen Sheldon Rankins and Mario Edwards Jr. equally missed Week 1 and David Onyemata has been suspended. Onyemata will play vs. the Rams. The two aren’t likely.
The Rams have two benefits plus also a brief week to the Saints off an emotional triumph. That’s the reason why we will proceed with L.A., but make sure to get the disperse at -2.5 and not -3.
