Manchester United U23 defender Max Taylor returns to training after cancer treatment

Manchester United U23 defender Max Taylor has returned to practice following responding well to cancer therapy.
The 19-year-old centre-back signed his first contract with United in 2018 after coming in 2014, but started chemotherapy in February of this year.
After successfully undergoing therapy, as he continues his return on the program Taylor joined the team for training for the first time and will soon be involved .
He said:”I feel immensely proud and pleased to be back in the pitch with my team-mates and friends.
“Without the invaluable aid of my loved ones, team-mates not to mention the nurses and doctors, my return to training in this point wouldn’t have been possible.
“I want to thank all of the club’s health and sports science staff I have worked with during my rehab.
“The next step is to continue working hard at the gym and from the grass to hopefully make my return on the pitch.”
United begin their Europa League campaign against Kazakhstani winners Astana on Thursday at 8pm.
