Kick It Out appoint Sanjay Bhandari, equality expert and Man Utd fan, as new chair

Manchester United fan Sanjay Bhandari and equality expert was verified as the new chair of football organisation Kick Out.
Bhandari – who labored for 15 years as a lawyer before moving to leadership and judicial functions – succeeds Lord Ouseley, who founded the organization back in 1993.
“I am absolutely delighted to join the Board of Kick It Out as its Chair,” said Bhandari.
“I’ve been a soccer fan all of my life and a vocal advocate for addition. I’m passionate about assisting soccer for a game where individuals of all backgrounds feel welcome and included into the pitch, into the boardroom.
“I feel honoured to have the opportunity to build on the group’s great work over several decades, and anticipate putting out my vision for equality in football in the months beforehand.”
On their brand new appointment, Kick It Out said:”An energetic and recognised pioneer of equality, diversity and improvement practice, Sanjay was part of the Premier League’s Equality Standard Independent Panel for four years.
“He’s a part of this Government-sponsored Parker review to the ethnic diversity of UK boards.
“For three successive years from 2017, he was named among Financial Times’ EMpower 100 ethnic minority leaders and at 2016, as one of the top 100 most influential BAME people in business in the inaugural Upstanding Executive Power List.
“Sanjay is eager to take on the role and is ready to develop and extend on the hugely important work Kick It Out was doing to campaign for equality in soccer for at least 25 decades.”
Bhandari’s appointment comes after a succession of incidents of racist abuse directed at EFL gamers along with also Premier League at the onset of this season.
