A team referred to as’L’Urlo Della Nord’ state Lukaku”must know” that – from Italy – fans have”ways only to assist our teams and also to try to create competitions nervous” – and they don’t think them to be displaced.
In an announcement on Facebook, the team said:”Hi Romelu, we’re writing you on behalf of Curva Nord, yes the men who welcomed you at your arrival in Milan. We are very sorry you believed was still racist.
“You’ve got to know that Italy isn’t like many other north European countries where racism is a true issue. It is not like this although we understand that it could have appeared racist for you.
“In Italy we utilize several”ways” just to”help our teams” and to try to create our opponents nervous, not for racism but also to jumble them up.
“We are a multi-ethnic fans business and we have always welcomed players from anyplace. But, we have used that’way’ with different teams’ players before and we will in the future.
“We are not racist and so aren’t the Cagliari fans”
The statement went on to assert that the struggle against racism should not begin in football stadiums but in schools, which fans behave otherwise in stadiums than in the world.
On Tuesday, the Italian league’s disciplinary judge says he needed more proof before making a decision if Cagliari should be punished for the chants, which judge Gerardo Mastrandrea didn’t refer to as”racist” in his weekly report.
Lukaku transformed Inter’s winning penalty in the game, then glared at home fans behind the goal as they led the monkey chants.
