Main Event: Jon Jones (-285) vs. Alexander Gustafsson (+225)
The final time Jon Jones and Alexander Gustafsson faced off, roughly a year-and-a-half past, it was the former that emerged with the win. Though many believed Gustafsson might’ve had himthe judges granted Jones a unanimous victory.
The chances last time around, however, were more in favor of Jones, together with Gustafsson laying anywhere between +800 and +1000 lines. That they’re so close this time speaks to how well he fared in the first meeting, while also nodding towards how much he has improved his fast-twitch stamina.
Even so, Jones, who has not fought 17 weeks, has mostly dominated everybody he has come across from the Octagon. This battle should take more gasoline than he’s accustomed to consuming up, but he should still pull it out and win the light heavyweight belt.
