Main Event: Jon Jones (-285) vs. Alexander Gustafsson (+225)
The final time Jon Jones and Alexander Gustafsson faced off, roughly a year-and-a-half ago, it was the former who emerged with the win. Though many believed Gustafsson could have had himthe judges awarded Jones a unanimous victory.
The odds last time around, however, were even more in favor of Jones, with Gustafsson putting everywhere between +800 and +1000 lines. That they’re so close now speaks to how well he cried in the first meeting, while also nodding towards how much he’s improved his fast-twitch endurance.
Even so, Jones, who has not fought in 17 months, has largely dominated everybody he’s come around in the Octagon. This battle should take more gasoline than he’s accustomed to consuming up, but he should still pull it out and win the light heavyweight belt.
