Main Event: Jon Jones (-285) vs. Alexander Gustafsson (+225)
The last time Jon Jones and Alexander Gustafsson faced off, roughly a year-and-a-half ago, it was the former who emerged with the win. Though many believed Gustafsson could have had himthe judges awarded Jones a unanimous victory.
The chances last time around, however, were even more in favor of Jones, with Gustafsson laying anywhere between +800 and +1000 lines. That they’re so close now around speaks to how well he cried in the very first meeting, while also nodding towards just how much he’s improved his fast-twitch stamina.
Nevertheless, Jones, who hasn’t fought in 17 months, has mostly dominated everybody he’s come across in the Octagon. This battle should take more gasoline than he’s used to using up, but he must still pull it out and win the light heavyweight belt.
