The South African Rugby Union has started a confidentialinternal process with Springboks lock Eben Etzebeth over allegations he and racially abused a person in South Africa prior to the Rugby World Cup.
SA Rugbys statement comes a day after the South African Human Rights Commission declared it would take Etzebeth into a prestige court on Friday. Etzebeth has denied racial abuse or any assault.
SA Rugby have not confirmed if Etzebeth would play in a World Cup game on Friday against Italy, the day the Human Rights Commission says itll start court proceedings against him.
The indications are that Etzebeth will play and stay at the championship in Japan.
The case relates to your night outside in the coastal town of Langebaan in August when Etzebeth was at a pub with family members and friends.
He has been accused of attacking and racially abusing a person, who then complained to the Human Rights Commission.
SA Rugby states its been in communicating with the Human Rights Commission and hasinstituted an internal procedure to tackle the matter, the particulars of which stay an employment affair between SA Rugby and also the player.
