Jesse Lingard and midfielders Dele Alli have been left from England manager Gareth Southgate’s squad to the Euro 2020 qualifiers away into the Czech Republic and Bulgaria.
There’s a for protector Fikayo Tomori, even though his Chelsea team-mate is also chosen.
Manchester City right-back Kyle Walker has been omitted.
England play with the Czechs on Bulgaria and 11 October on 14 October.
Liverpool midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain misses out, although everton midfielder Fabian Delph was remembered.
Injured Manchester United right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka is not included.
“There are some tough choices to make,” said Southgate. “It’s an exciting squad, with players very much in form.
“There is still a focus on the creation of younger gamers surrounded by good experience.”
Abraham, 22, had stated he had”not made a decision yet” on his international future because he is also eligible to play for Nigeria, having just played for England in two friendlies rather than a competitive match.
Whereas the same applies to Tomori who played for Canada if he performs against Bulgaria or even the Czechs, he will not have the capacity to change allegiance.
“It is not ethically appropriate to give someone a cap just so they can not play for someone else,” said Southgate.
“He and Fikayo Tomori are equally on merit and also have become a part of our system right the way through, thus we view them English players and they have a massive desire to play England at senior level”
Abraham has netted eight goals in 10 matches in all competitions for Chelsea thus far this season and is joint second in the Premier League’ chart.
“This was a rather simple choice [to select him] as he’s the major British goalscorer in the league,” said Southgate.
Abraham played England in attractions in 2017 together with Brazil and Germany, and was part of the England Under-21 squad at the European Championship this summer.
“We put him to the squad quite youthful, when we were altering the complexion of what exactly we were doing,” added Southgate.
“That was a bit early for him but because of the opportunity given to him by Frank Lampard in Chelsea, we’ve brought him back in.
“This is now a fantastic opportunity for Tammy.”
