Danny Cowley agrees to become new Huddersfield boss

Lincoln City boss Danny Cowley has agreed to become the new manager of Huddersfield Town, Sky Sports News knows.
Jan Siewert departed Huddersfield after managing only 1 success.
Following the German’s dismissal, Mark Hudson was called the Terriers’ interim supervisor and oversaw his Sky Bet Championship games from Cardiff, Reading and Luton, which ended in defeats.
After earning only 1 point from six games at the onset of the 24, huddersfield are currently second from bottom in the Championship table.
Cowley, that has been in charge of Lincoln to the last 3 years alongside his brother Nicky, distanced himself from a movement night.
He explained:”For us, no sympathy to Huddersfield, that are an superb club and have experienced an incredible time getting in the Premier League, however we’ve worked quite difficult at this football club over the years we have been here.
“Our team is at a really good location, so for us to consider moving our families and ourselves out of this club it would have to be the perfect chance.”
Cowley had previously admitted to holding discussions with Huddersfield over the vacant place, however, dismissed speculation that he was about to carry over as Sheffield Wednesday supervisor, before Garry Monk’s recent consultation in Hillsborough.
He is set to leave Sincil Bank after managing 176 matches for Lincoln, overseeing the advertising in back of the club to the Football League in 2017.
The prior Imps boss also directed his team to the quarter-finals of their FA Cup at the 2016/17 effort when Lincoln were in the National League, beating Burnley, Ipswich and Brighton at the procedure.
Cowley’s side were crowned League Two champions last semester, winning the division by a six-point margin.
His first match in charge will be against Sheffield Wednesday in the John Smith’s Stadium on Saturday, live on Sky Sports Football from 11.30am; kick-off 12pm.
