Dale Earnhardt Jr. still has sore back but plans on racing at Darlington

(CNN) — Dale Earnhardt Jr. is just largely retired, therefore he does not plan to miss out driving at one of his favorite tracks when NASCAR goes to Darlington Raceway in South Carolina next weekend.
Earnhardt, who had been last week together with his spouse , daughter and two pilots, also said hes still hurting from the wreck but intends to take the wheel of a car in the Xfinity Series on August 31.
My lower back is bruised up bad. Tons of swelling and that I just need that to go down along with the pain to flake out, he tweeted. Ive been handling the region every day solely to get nicely to race.
Earnhardt retired from racing in 2017 due to the effects of concussions, but he has raced once since then year in an Xfinity race in Richmond. Earnhardt is currently also a television analyst for NBC and a team owner.
On Monday, near where his plane crashed after a landing after bypassing the races at Bristol, Tennessee, Earnhardt thanked emergency responders his pilots and hospital workers.
We are truly blessed that all on board escaped with no serious injuries, including our daughter, our two pilots as well as our pet Gus, Earnhardt added.
Racing fans are awaiting Earnhardts one on-track look this season. He also holds the record for winning the most popular driver award of the circuit 15 years in a row.
