Charles Leclerc’s Push to win an Excellent Italian GP was hailed as”extraordinary” by Sky F1’s Martin Brundle after the Child held off both Mercedes, to the Joy of Their raucous Ferrari fans at Monza.
Leclerc promised victory from pole but was under a continuous danger from the Mercedes, first viewing off Lewis Hamilton after a few enthralling wheel-to-wheel battles – with the championship leader forced off the trail at one stage – before then remaining ahead of Valtteri Bottas at the closing stages.

It was the first victory of Ferrari at their home Grand Prix because Fernando Alonso at 2010.
“I’m very happy I saw that drive firsthand,” said Brundle.
“It had been an outstanding drive. The most intense stress, he retained it all together.”
Nico Rosberg, the 2016 world champion and long-time competition to Hamilton, stated:”An unbelievable drive. I know how he felt in that car like that I don’t know how many times, because I had Lewis in my gearbox. The stress Lewis puts on when he’s there, you can’t create the smallest of errors.
“Leclerc created one little mistake but he rescued it beautifully, shielded it and it was great.”
Rosberg added:”Today is the kind of drive where he showed he can and probably will soon be a Ferrari world champion within another couple of years whenever the car enables him to do it.”
The pressure is withstood by leclerc
Leclerc, 21, was handed a flag, the equal of a warning with all the Mercedes driver arguing that he was given no space when trying to decode.
“He was also a solitary ranger out there using both Mercedes coming ,” additional Brundle. “He was pushing his fortune on driving criteria, but’pushing his fortune’ is nice and he got off with all that. He brought it home – that he had to get out his elbows or he wasn’t going to get the success.”

His team supervisor, Mattia Binotto impressed.
“He feels the strain as a increase and certainly he’s driving well,” said Binotto. “After the summer break he’s driving fantastically and we can observe just how he defended the positions now.”
On successive race evenings , most notably in Bahrain when his car failed after which Austria once he was overtaken by Max Verstappen Leclerc has won after a few success near-misses in the first half of the season.

“But the major thing for me is that how normal a personality he is. I did an interview on Thursday with him and in the end of the interview he thanked me to state’I was delighted with how that travelled’.
“He only seemed so up to what he needed to do this weekend.”
