Ease was seen by goals from Odsonne Edouard and Mohamed Elyounoussi over Romanian side CFR Cluj into some 2-0 Europa League Group E win.
Neil Lennons side took a deserved 20th-minute lead when Callum McGregor released Boli Bolingoli, whose cross was met by the mind of Edouard.
And as the rain lashed down in the second phase, Elyounoussi who fired into the bottom corner by means of a deflection to double the advantage was found by James Forrest.
Together with Lazio coming from behind at home to overcome at Rennes 2-1, Celtics win sees them go top of the group with four points ahead of a mouthwatering double-header together with the side.
