Bobby Duncan’s agent, Saif Rubie, has stated said”in my line of work I know nobody comes close” after his customer secured a move from Liverpool summer time.
Duncan – cousin of Steven Gerrard – joined Italian side Fiorentina on Monday. Liverpool will receive #2m for the forwards and have inserted a 20 percent sell-on clause.
Rubie, who formerly took to social media to criticise Liverpool from departing for preventing Duncan, has boasted on Instagram about his job .
“To be in the top 1 percent you’ve got to get prepared to do exactly what 99 percent of the remainder will not perform,” said the agent.
“In my line of work I know nobody even comes close. Not everything in life is black and white and you need to be able to adapt and roll with the punches.
“Now Bobby Duncan has the opportunity to live and experience some thing different young English players do. That is what leaders really do. We are not followers.
“Thanks to all the folks who have supported me in this challenging period means a good deal. The joy of getting the job makes the struggle and uncertainty worthwhile. PS Kevin Prince-Boateng you better look after our little brother.”
