Hull KR trio Josh Drinkwater, Chris Atkin and James Greenwood leaving club

Hull KR have declared that ever-present Australian Josh Drinkwater will depart the club in the close of the year, along with forwards and Chris Atkin James Greenwood.
The departures of Atkin and Greenwood was expected and the former has already secured a contract with Salford for 2020.
However, Drinkwater’s exit was unexpected, particularly with his own half-back partner Danny McGuire.
Drinkwater has started every match for Rovers since joining them at the onset of the season in Catalans Dragons to a deal.
Atkin has ever had a bit-part role for a lot of the effort, while Greenwood has been sidelined since March with a knee injury that is severe.
Hull KR head coach Tony Smith, who signed a fresh three-year contract at the weekend, said:”I have enjoyed my time with three of those young guys concerning working together.
“Regrettably, I haven’t had an opportunity to trainer James but he has been a joy around the place and a specialist in terms of how he has been rehabbing.
“Chris and Josh are enormous and I wish them well in their future careers.”
Atkin and drinkwater are all set to play their game for the Robins in Craven Park against London Broncos on Friday night when the Yorkshire club have a opportunity to protect their Super League survival – live on Sky Sports.
If he unites the Red Devils at the close of the 25, meanwhile, Atkin will join with his Swinton boss Ian Watson.
“I am quite excited,” he explained. “Watto was the one who brought me in at Swinton and gave me my own professional debut.
“Since then, I have always wanted to work with him again and this chance has come up and I’m really looking forward to it and feeling determined to get back to it.
“He’s a really excellent coach and he’s proved that again this year.”
